image

The authors of Aging in Stride will be on the "Savvy Seniors Radio Show," hosted by the Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Developlement Agency (KIPDA) in Louisville, Kentucky on Talk Radio 1080 AM, WKJK. Each author will present a program on his or her respective area of expertise. The programs will air October 8, 15, and 22 at 10:00 A.M. EDT.

October 8 - Dennis Kenny, J.D.

Dennis Kenny will lead off the program by sharing tips and advice on how to plan ahead and be prepared as we age.  His discussion will cover important documents and decisions for all older adults to consider to help ensure that their wishes will be respected and known under all circumstances.

October 15 - Elizabeth Oettinger, M. Div.

Elizabeth Oettinger will continue our series on happy and healthy aging by discussing spirituality and other end-of-life issues. As we approach the latter part of our lives, we enter a time of reflection when attention to the meaning of life, spirituality, and our own personal philosophies become more important.

October 22 - Christine Himes, M.D.

Dr. Christine Himes will conclude the series on healthy aging by discussing the importance of physical and mental activities in our lives, at every age, and as we grow older.  The most important things you can do to remain the happiest and healthiest as you age are to remain physically and mentally active!

If you live in the Louisville, Kentucky area, we invite you to join us for these discussions. We also invite you to stay up-to-date on the news and events sponsored by the KIPDA Area Agency on Aging by reading and subscribing to their quarterly newsletter.
