"Aging in Stride" Connects with Seattle Area Residents
by Connie Parsons, Director of Marketing
Dennis Kenny, co-author of Aging in Stride, is taking it to the streets during the months of April and May by holding workshops in Issaquah and Seattle, WA. These presentations will cover the four most important building blocks of aging well: - keeping physically active
- staying socially connected
- planning ahead
- honoring the spiritual side of life
Many people think of growing older in largely negative terms. But few would deny that it beats the alternative! In truth, every age is what we make of it. And for those of us approaching or already in our retirement years, the good news is that there are many excellent resources and proven strategies available to help, as we tackle the challenge of "healthy aging." This is one of those aspects of living in which a little knowledge goes a long way. The goal of this presentation is to help everyone in the audience look at their own aging or at the aging process as it may be affecting a loved one from a new and more informed perspective. The sessions will be held on: April 10 and May 22 (the workshop will be split into two sessions) Bellewood Retirement Community 3710 Providence Point Drive SE Issaquah, Washington 425-394-2880
May 1, 2:00 p.m.
Magnolia Books 3206 W. McGraw St. Seattle, WA. 206-283-1062 Both workshops are free and open to the public. For more information about either workshop, or to discuss the possibility of a workshop in your community, please contact Connie Parsons at Caresource, connie@caresource.com, 1-800-448-5213.
